of The Virtual Organization A Panel Discussion
Several years ago, Jack
Welch warned us that what Japan did to the United States in the 80s is
nothing compared to what China will do to the U.S. economy over the next
ten years. Welch also said that adaptability would always be GE’s greatest strength. More recently, Forbes 2005 Businessman
of the Year in Asia, Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, predicted that this
will be the millennium of India and China, and that American businesses
need to adapt to this driving force by becoming virtual
organizations.
These predictions and advice are all consistent with the overall theme
of Tom Friedman’s best selling book, The World
Is Flat.
By attending
the June 13th joint meeting of the New Jersey Chapters of NACD and ACG – you
will have an opportunity to learn about and discuss the following issues:
